HUNKS IN HEELS 2012
A HUGE SUCCESS!

Over 100 men became "Hunks" as they donned a pair of high heels and hoofed it around The Greene in a heated competition to be the "Hunks in Heels - Race Champion". Doug Ransdell, Beavercreek Firefighter, took home the Red Shoe Race Champion Trophy.

Michael Roediger, Dayton Art Institute passed on the Best Legs Trophy to this year's winner, John Turner.  John will proudly display the Metal Legs Trophy in his office at GE Capital until a new champion is crowned next year. John won the contest by raising more than $2000 in votes in the online contest. Way to go John!

Jim Ehrensberger was awarded the "Fundraising Champion" trophy for bringing in over $3000 as part of Reynolds & Reynolds, Hunks in Heels Associate Foundation Challenge. Jim agreed to put on more than heels for each level of his fundraising goal that was reached.  As a result of his efforts, Jim showed-up fully dressed in womanly attire - he experienced more than what it's like to "walk a mile in her shoes"  - he learned what it's like to strut a while in her outfit.

This year's event raised more money than any other in its five-year history.  Clothes That Work thanks all of the men who walked in heels (and more) to honor the women in their life!

This event was made possible through the support of our generous sponsors and the many volunteers who gave of their time, energy and resources.  We greatly appreciate all of you.

Special thanks to Jim Bucher, WDTN and Lisa Grigsby, Dayton Most Metro/ARC who hosted the event.

Shout-out to Life in Letters @ The Greene for capturing the event in photos.  Click below to view the Hunks in Heels gallery.
